Trivia - Small World

The very first movie of Charito Solis and Rudy Fernandez together was in 1960. It was the movie entitled Emily, which gave Charito Solis her second Famas Best Actress Award. Gregorio Fernandez, the father of Rudy directed the movie.

Charito Solis and Rudy Fernandez also appeared together in Ulo Ng Gapo / Outlaw inferno (1985), Ipaglalaban Ko (1989), Daddy Goon (1992- Rudy appeared in a cameo role), Itataya Ko Ang Buhay Ko (1996).

On the other hand, movies of Charito Solis like P10,000 Pag-ibig (1957), Malvarosa (1958), Ana Maria (1958- Charito Solis appeared in this movie as mentioned in the book entitled Dona Sisang and the Filipino movies), Kung Ako’y Mahal Mo (1960) were also directed by Gregorio Fernandez.

Dito naaayon ang kasabihang "There are no small roles, only small actors". Pinatunayan ni Ms Solis na ang galing ng isang aktor ay hindi nasusukat sa haba ng kanyang papel kundi kung paano niya ito ginampanan. Na ang lahat ng karakter, maliit man o malaki ay may halaga at dapat gampanan ng naaayon at buong husay. Na tulad ng isang dyamante, gaano man ito kaliit at kahit saan mo ito ilagay ay mapapansin at mapapansin mo ito dahil sa kanyang angking brilyo......trully Ms Solis....a brilliant actress!

Cinema One Channel (Sky Cable) featured the movie, Mga Tigre Ng Sierra Cruz. The movie was released on July 12, 1974 for the 12th Anniversary Offering of Lea Productions. It was the very first movie of Charito Solis and Vilma Santos together followed by Modelong Tanso (1979), Ipagpatawad Mo (1991), Dahil Mahal Kita: The Dolzura Cortez Story (1993) and Hanggang Ngayon Ika’y Mahal (1997). In all these five (5) movies, Charito Solis always played a mother to Vilma Santos.
