Charito's star rose in LVN as Dona Sisang gave
her all the leading roles with all the well known actors and directors
of the time. It was in Krisalis (1957) that Charito experienced her
first box-office hit. In theme, Krisalis was a variation of the classic
Cinderella story and Charito's leading man was Nestor de Villa
